Riding from Winona MN to Hannibal MO along the Mississippi River

August 2 - August 6, 2007.

Tamera and I rode over 1800 miles during this trip. Across Illinois, into Wisconsin where we stopped in Milwaukee and toured the HD Manufacturing Plant. Then through Wisconsin where the eastern mountains and into Viginia and onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. We took the BRP to just north of we crossed a river by ferry then rode to Winona MN, down the Mississippi River to Hannibal MO. It rained the entire day we spent in Iowa missing out on a lot of great visual vantage points. Tamera dropped her bike outside Iowa's oldest Tavern with many bikers looking on. Again, there was a lot of great scenery and and we took a lot of pictures for HOG's ABCs of Touring. We got points for four states and for the stopping at Buell and Harley Davidson facilities in Wisconsin. Our trip home was entirely interstate travel while we tried to beat the rain that was just behind us the entire way.
